Build Your Own  Stone House
by
Karl and Sue Schwenke
This year I've gone back to light reading, having a second book to switch to when I get tired of reading my main current read. So far I've finished 3 books that I'd started reading in previous years, but never completed till recently. This is partly due to my current job being farther than walking distance to my house and me sitting in my car between shifts for hours on days that I work doubles.
My interest in architecture has become more practical and technical as I am interested in possibly buying land and building a house some day. This may only be a pipe dream or a crazy fantasy. But it also happens to be the subject of several books that I intend to read in the near future.

pro options

I'm already thinking about what book I'm going to be reading next. The Super Bowl and the AFC/NFC Championships will help me decide which one. Four books, four teams. Here they are:
AFC
New England Patriots
(Ubik by Philip K. Dick)
vs.
Indianapolis Colts
(The 33 Strategies of War by Robert Greene)

NFC
Seattle Seahawks
(Shadow Puppets by Orson Scott Card)
vs.
Green Bay Packers
(Bug Jack Barron by Norman Spinrad)

college option

I decided at the last minute to do a College National Champion version of the Super Bowl reading option I do every year. I only wish I'd thought of it sooner so I could have picked four books Instead of just two. Here are the chosen ones:
A Confederacy of Dunces - John Kennedy Toole
(Ohio State)
vs.
The Steampunk Trilogy - Paul DiFilippo
(Oregon)
Next book I read is decided by the National Championship Game. Good luck, teams!
